The Mining Industry's Biggest Stage

MINExpo International is the world's premier mining equipment and technology exhibition, held every four years at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 2024 edition brought together the full spectrum of the global mining supply chain — from major equipment OEMs and tier-one mining operators to procurement teams, engineers, and distributors actively sourcing solutions for active mine sites across every major mining region. For Conssin, MINExpo 2024 was a critical strategic appearance: our first time exhibiting at this scale in North America, and a direct opportunity to put our mining lighting and energy storage products in front of the buyers who matter most. Stand 5422 in the Central Hall positioned us alongside major industrial equipment suppliers, giving our products direct comparison exposure against the established competition — a test we welcomed.

Mining Lighting Built for the Toughest Conditions

The stand display centred on Conssin's mining-specific product range, with particular focus on the capabilities that differentiate our offering from general-purpose industrial lighting: ATEX Zone 1/2 and IECEx explosion-proof certification, IP69K ingress protection, 5g RMS continuous vibration rating, and 10kV surge protection against the voltage transients that heavy mining equipment generates on local power grids. Visitors from Australian, South African, Canadian, and Latin American mining operations — the regions that account for the majority of global hard-rock mining activity — were consistent in asking the same questions: certification stack, expected service life in active mine conditions, and OEM customisation lead times. Our technical team had detailed answers to all three, backed by field data from existing deployments. Energy storage was also prominently featured, with Conssin's industrial cabinet and battery pack series presented as the integrated power complement to our lighting range.

Highlights from the three days:
  • KUH mining light series: ATEX Zone 1/2 and IECEx certified fixtures — primary focus of technical discussions with mine site engineers

  • IP69K / 5g RMS demonstration: Live product inspection by visitors from Australian and South African mining operations

  • Industrial energy storage: Cabinet and battery pack series presented alongside lighting as an integrated mine-site power solution

  • OEM engagements: Scheduled meetings with North American equipment distributors evaluating private-label mining lighting supply

  • Certification documentation: Full ATEX, IECEx, and CE technical packages available on-stand for procurement review

"Mining buyers at this level have seen every claim on paper. What they want is to handle the product, check the certification documents, and ask the hard questions. We were ready for all of it — and the conversations we had at Stand 5422 showed us exactly where our positioning lands in the North American market." — International Sales Director, Conssin Corp

MINExpo 2024 delivered what we came for: direct engagement with the engineers and procurement managers who specify mine-site lighting at scale, and a clear read on how Conssin's product and certification stack compares in the world's most demanding market. Follow-up activity from the show is ongoing, with several North American distributor relationships now in active development.

The North American Mining Market

North America — particularly Canada and the western United States — represents one of the most technically demanding and commercially significant markets for certified industrial lighting. Regulatory requirements are stringent, buyer expectations for product documentation are high, and the total cost of ownership lens is applied rigorously. These are exactly the conditions where Conssin's engineering approach — built around certification depth, long service life, and field-proven reliability — competes most effectively.
